Canshaker Pi has been together for three years and have grown from a high school band to one of Hollands most acclaimed live-bands. Last year they released their untitled debut album, which was produced by Stephen Malkmus (from Pavement). Over the last year the band played every big NL festival (Le Guess Who, Eurosonic, Best Kept Secret and Lowlands). They recorded a lot of new music this year and are releasing bits and pieces of it since last August. The band started playing outside the Netherlands since last year and have done two UK-tours this year, one being part of an extensive EU-tour alongside Spiral Stairs (the band of Scott Kahnberg, who’s from Pavement too) that took them to France, Italy, Germany and Denmark on a 26-show tour.

In December 2017 the band is going to go back to the UK to do a two-week tour. Amongst the shows are four supports for The Cribs in Leeds, London, Manchester and Glasgow. Promoters all across the UK are helping the band with more shows during this tour. The band is going to play every major showcase festival in 2018. Starting with Eurosonic (confirmed), ILMC (confirmed and The Great Escape in Spring, and Reeperbahn, MaMA, BIME and Bars-Trans in the Fall. Teaming up with local promoters we’re booking the band a tour for May through Europe playing small but relevant venues. After that the band will play a number of key festivals all over Europe expanding their live reputation of being Hollands best live-band of the moment. In November/December the band is planning to do another EU tour to support the European release of their second album in November.
