Through the years, the band became one of the most interesting and peculiar musical entities coming out of Italy, especially notorious for their really intense live shows, in between a rite and an artistic performance. They furiously performed all over Europe and toured in North America with Deerhoof, Dirty Beaches, Iceage and Xiu Xiu, and have been praised by the Archdruid Julian Cope, Michael Gira, Geoff Barrow, among lots of others.
Leading figures of that community that Simon Reynolds defined “Italian Occult Psychedelia”, the outfit’s last effort is the 2015 trilogy of the Cross, consisting of three different releases on the topic: Calvary (Blue Tapes), Croce (The Flenser) and Lamentations (Backwards).
