Gli Sportivi

BIOGRAPHY

Gli Sportivi, the blistering rock n’roll duo from Venice, Italy, have been toasting amplifiers since 2009 with a growling sound rooted in all rocks right places.
Fusing apocalyptic drums and fuzz driven doomsday riff’s to create a sound so strong you’d be forgiven for thinking its a standard issue four piece rock band on stage. Gli Sportivi are Lorenzo Petri (guitar & vocals) and Nicola Zanetti (drums) who’ve set out on a mission to push their sound towards a new dimension.
Having worked with Howie Weinberg (mastered Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, James Brown, Bjork, Ramones, Johnny Cash, etc) on 2013’s LP offering « Black Sheep » touring followed in their native Italy and beyond whilst working on their latest release, 2016’s « Fuzz Days », a collection of analog driven anthems built on a backbone of the duo’s love for custom and vintage gear.
Included in the latest addition of the EuroSonic festival to a wow’ed crowd, Gli Sportivi re-create the fuel-injected atmosphere of their studio output and bring it up a few notches in the live show.
Currently back in the studio, 2017 promises new material and gathering interest for one Italy’s most referred rock acts in recent times.
